The CBD Beginners Guide

If you are new to the CBD market and you are finding the dialect confusing we totally understand – everyone has to start their wellness journey somewhere!

Here we will explain some of the common questions and jargon used when people discuss CBD.

What is my Endocannabinoid System?

The human body contains a network of Cannabinoid (CBD) receptors that are ‘endogenoud lipid-based neurotrasmitters’. This network is known as the Endocannabinoid System. Our ECS is vital for our survival as it regulates a huge number of everyday functions that support well being. When you take CBD you are boosting the Endocannabinoid System in a totally natural and healthy way.

Isn’t Cannabis illegal? Will I get ‘high’ off CBD?

CBD is just one of 85 different cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant. One of these cannabinoids is THC, the psychoactive compound that will make you feel ‘high’ and is Illegal in the UK.  For a CBD Product to be classed as full spectrum it means that it contains all 85 Cannabinoids instead of just CBD – this is said to better support the ECS. Our CBD is made from plants that have been grown to have trace, if any, amounts of THC (0.02% maximum). This means that they will have no psychoactive affect, are perfectly legal in the UK and are not addictive. If they were to contain THC, however, they would be classed as a Class B Substance which is why we carefully Lab Test every batch to make sure that not only is it the high quality product we love but it is totally legal.

What is the best way to take CBD?

Our bestselling product is CBD Tincture as it is the easiest to work into your routine as it is a simple few drops underneath the tongue. Sub-lingual (under tongue) absorption is an easy way to get CBD into your system and doesn’t require any other equipment (such as a vape) to use.

It all comes down to personal preference and the reason why you are looking to get started – if you want to have a low strength in an easy form then try our CBD Topical Balm whereas for a higher strength you should look towards our most potent CBD product, our 20% Tincture.

 What does CBD stand for?

CBD is the abbreviation for Cannabidiol which is a compound found in Cannabis or Hemp.

Is ‘Full Spectrum’ CBD really a better product?

Full Spectrum CBD means that the product contains the range of Cannabinoids (there are 82 different Cannabinoids found in the Cannabis or Hemp plant) and the product has not been engineered to contain just CBD like an Isolate would be.  The difference between Full Spectrum and singular CBD is that with a Full Spectrum Product you also get to harness the benefits of the other Cannabinoids – hemp oil itself is known to be a great addition to your wellness routine and has a host of benefits alone. We believe that if you buy CBD it should always be Full Spectrum and also extracted using C02 for it to be a good addition to your healthy lifestyle.

Can I vape CBD in Public?

Yes! It is totally legal in the UK and so is legal to vape in anywhere that vaping isn’t already prohibited.

How should I store my CBD?

If you don’t plan on opening your CBD we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place. Some people chose to store theirs in a fridge as it is said to make it last longer, but a cupboard works just as well.
